  1. I find this poem very moving. It triggers grief for me, remembering a time when I was stuck in my own head, going only in circles, and hopeless. The last two lines are particularly painful, but beautifully crafted. An important record of your journey. Thank you.

      1. I should say it triggers healing grief, or a deeply grateful grief, something like that. Not unpleasant, but acknowledging, and remembering. Does that make sense? I mean, I believe that we can move on from times like these, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t always inform who we are. NOT unpleasant. I don’t mean to give you that idea at all. Sometimes I think I’m being clear, but I’m not. Very moving.
